Over here in America a movie can be X-rated, then you have to be older than 18 (or 21, depending on state). A kid can only see a rated R (17+) movie if accompanied by somebody 17+

I dont get american film classification you know in england the films are u, pg, 12, 15, and 18. Now in england if a film is a 18 certificate that person cant get into see the film unless he or she is 18 how is it in america could a small kid just walk into a horror film and go see it in the cinema ?
